These are the children of the Quechua Indian community of Huacanhuasi, Peru. Their school is a metal building with a dirt floor.  Their lunch is a roll and a cup of juice.  Peru's education system is ranked the worst in the world.  They need our help.

Hoof Prints Open Pleasure Benefit class is an opportunity for all of us to help someone in need while doing what we love....horse showing!

In 2008 the class will benefit Valhalla High School's Peace Corps Partnership Club.  Inspired by her community service work in Peru, the club's president and other Valhalla students have taken the initative to help these children.  All funds raised will be distributed through the Peace Corps volunteers assigned to the Huacanhuasi community.  For more information visit the
Valhalla Peace Corps Partnership website.

Each participant in the Hoof Prints class receives at t-shirt.  Ribbons are awarded to 8th place.  The minimum entry fee is a $25 pledge, but riders can choose to raise additional pledges.  Two first place awards will be offered: one to the class winner and a special award to the rider who raises the most money.  ECHO will match all pledges.

So - jump on your horse or pony and make YOUR mark in the Hoof Prints Open Pleasure Benefit Class!
